There's no place like home for the Mingus Marauders, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They strolled past Bradshaw Mountain with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 60-41. That's another feather in the cap for Mingus, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Mingus found their leader in underclassman Savannah Tobias, who almost dropped a triple-double on 23 points, 11 rebounds, and nine steals. Tobias is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alice Kinsey, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Mingus' win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Bradshaw Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.
Mingus will be playing at home against Lee Williams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lee Williams will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 208th, while Mingus is ranked 83rd). As for Bradshaw Mountain, they will head out on the road to challenge Prescott at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Prescott is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
