The Bottineau Braves/Stars will face off against the Glenburn Panther at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Glenburn's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: Bottineau hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Braves/Stars never let New Town get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory on Thursday. That 19 run margin sets a new team best for the Braves/Stars this season.

Kaia Hennings made a splash no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than 11 strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.
In other batting news, Kamryn Allard was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two triples, and five RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Harleigh Parisien, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles.
Bottineau always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .528 or higher in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Glenburn came up short against Tioga on Thursday, falling 28-13. The Panther have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mila Jones made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Jones, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
Bottineau's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Glenburn, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Glenburn's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bottineau has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 13 hits per game. It's a different story for Glenburn, though, as they've been averaging 17.2 hits. Given Bottineau's sizable advantage in that area, the Panther will need to find a way to close that gap.
Bottineau took their win against Glenburn in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 17-7 score. Will the Braves/Stars repeat their success, or do the Panther have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
