The biggest upset of the week belonged to Tuslaw, who took down 344th ranked Tuslaw, 25-13. Brady Byers in the win.
Parker Carmichael and Luke Boreman gave Triway a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Carmichael threw for 165 yards and three touchdowns, while Boreman ran for 116 yards. Teammate Carmichael added to the ground attack by rushing for 56 yards.
Cody Brewer provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Mustangs fell to Indian Valley. He completed 15 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 16 yards. Brewer's favorite target this week was Dion Perez, who caught seven passes for 116 yards.
Chad Robertson was the best wideout in Principals this week as Manchester defeated Fairless. Robertson racked up six receptions for 117 yards. Jamar Dukes helped Manchester's passing attack out by catching three balls for 41 yards.
Darin Forrer made the biggest impact on defense this week as Tuslaw lost to the Braves. The 5-foot-11 senior grabbed 0.5 sack.
The Titans' Carmichael and Kyle Kearney have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Carmichael has thrown for 2564 yards this season, while Kearney, a 6-foot-5 receiver, has 69 catches for 788 yards. Jake Davis from Indian Valley leads the league in rushing with 1082 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Panthers take on Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy. At the moment, Manchester is in second, while the Royals are in fifth.
Matt Lancaster's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,044 from 6,181. The improvement was the result of 25-13 victory over Nathan Held's team last week.
