Softball Recap: Holy Redeemer Has No Trouble Against Crestwood

Holy Redeemer's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Crestwood Comets as Holy Redeemer made off with a 15-5 win. The victory continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Comets: they've now won five in a row.

Anne Carter spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Holy Redeemer got a massive performance out of Zoe Pecuch, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Abby Williams was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Holy Redeemer always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Crestwood only posted an OBP of .367.

Holy Redeemer now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Crestwood, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Holy Redeemer is taking a road trip to face off against Lake-Lehman at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crestwood, they will host Hanover Area at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
