The Torrington Raiders had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against Naugatuck by a score of 73-63. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Torrington's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was William Parkhouse, who scored 26 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Parkhouse is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 21 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Isaac Fenn, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds.
Torrington is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Naugatuck, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
Torrington will head out on the road to challenge Crosby at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Naugatuck, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Holy Cross at 7:00 p.m. Naugatuck has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 181 points over their last three contests.
