Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Lorena Leopards, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were the victim of a rough 49-27 defeat at the hands of the Lions on Friday. Lorena's defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.
Lorena's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jadon Porter, who picked up 155 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Porter's longest reception was for an incredible 77 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Roberts, who threw for 255 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.
Lorena's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Franklin, they have yet to lose a matchup on the road this season, leaving them with a 13-1 record.
Lorena does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Franklin also has no future games currently scheduled.
