Ben Lomond has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will finish 2023 at home by hosting the St. Joseph Jayhawks at 5:15 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Ben Lomond had a senior duo take command as Ofa Arreguin scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and Jazzy Tinajero scored six points along with six assists and five rebounds. Arreguin is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dory Jenson, who scored three points along with six rebounds and four blocks.
St. Joseph can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 49-27 margin over American Leadership Academy. St. Joseph's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Among those leading the charge was Katelyn Martinez, who scored 13 points along with six assists and six rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of St. Joseph's points. Lizzie Randall was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with eight rebounds.
The win got Ben Lomond back to even at 5-5. As for St. Joseph, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-5.
Ben Lomond strolled past St. Joseph when the teams last played back in January by a score of 49-35. Will Ben Lomond repeat their success, or does St. Joseph have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
