Wayne is 2-8 against Bryce Valley since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Wayne Badgers will head out on the road to square off against the Bryce Valley Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Bryce Valley took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Wayne, who comes in off a win.
Even though Valley scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, Wayne still came out on top. Wayne took their game against Valley 63-56. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Wayne.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wayne to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ryker Peterson, who scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Peterson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jake Batty, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Bryce Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 53-47 to Manila.
Wayne's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-8. As for Bryce Valley, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Wayne came up short against Bryce Valley when the teams last played back in March of 2023, falling 49-38. Can Wayne avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
