Carmel not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since May 18, 2024 (when they won 14-1). They blew past the Lake Zurich Bears 16-3. Considering the Corsairs have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Kaitlyn Konen made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits.
