The Alta Vista Charter Lobos couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell to James Madison Preparatory School 33-29.
Several Lobos players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Julianys Jimenez, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lorena Chavez, who scored 9 points.
Alta Vista Charter's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for James Madison Preparatory School, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alta Vista Charter will take on South Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for James Madison Preparatory School, they will head out on the road to face off against Skyline Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
