Preble Shawnee (Camden, Ohio) didn't let up as Saturday's game came to a close, scoring six in the fourth quarter to seal a 34-12 victory over
Northridge (Dayton, Ohio).
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Russell Middaugh in the second quarter, the Arrows led 20-12 at the half.
Preble Shawnee grew its lead to 16 points entering the fourth quarter. PS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Brandon Frost.
The Camden school has had a tough season, allowing 43.6 points per game.
The victory was a step in the right direction for the Arrows, who were coming off a 66-22 defeat at the hands of Waynesville in its previous game. The victory ended Preble Shawnee's three-game losing streak. The loss was the third in a row for the Polar Bears.
In a Southwestern Buckeye - Buckeye game next week Preble Shawnee (2-4) takes on Milton-Union, and Northridge (3-3) will go up against Dixie also in a Southwestern Buckeye - Buckeye game.
