Panther Valley enjoyed a cozy 64-50 victory over Southern Columbia Area. The win was all the more spectacular given Panther Valley's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 394th, while Southern Columbia Area is ranked 151st).
Panther Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chase Weaver led the charge by scoring 19 points along with two steals. Logan Fisher was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Panther Valley and bumps their season record up to 13-9. As for Southern Columbia Area, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.
Panther Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southern Columbia Area, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Warrior Run at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
