The Tabiona Tigers had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. They walked away with a 38-25 victory over Wendover. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Tabiona also won the last time the pair played last Friday.
Despite the loss, Wendover saw an underclassman step up: Millie Hicks dropped a double-double on 13 points and 23 rebounds. Gaby Delgadillo was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six blocks and two steals.
Tabiona has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Wendover, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tabiona will stay at home for another game and welcome the Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th. Wendover will take on the Mustangs at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
