The Ferriday Trojans''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 55-20 loss at the hands of Plaquemine. Ferriday was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-14.
Ferriday's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jerry Griffin jr, who rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Ellis, who rushed for 28 yards and a touchdown.
Leading Plaquemine to victory were Tyrese Mosby and Nico Victorian. Mosby rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, while Victorian threw for 163 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Vincent Dawson and his 80 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Plaquemine's win.
Ferriday now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Plaquemine, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Ferriday will look to defend their home field on Friday against Rayville at 7:00 p.m. As for Plaquemine, they will head out on the road to face off against West Feliciana at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Feliciana is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
