Volleyball Recap: Marathon Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

Marathon won the last time they faced Thorp, and Halle Laabs did her part to make sure it happened again. The Red Raiders walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Cardinals on Saturday thanks in part to Laabs, who had nine digs and one assist. She also put up an ace, which was her first of the season.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17.

Marathon is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Thorp, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Marathon has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Fall Creek on the 30th. As for Thorp, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Three Lakes on the 30th.
