When it comes to explaining why Benedictine lost, one person who can't be blamed is Damone Darmond. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds. Mek Black was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 7 rebounds.
McDowell's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Benedictine, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McDowell will take on Brashear at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Benedictine's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lake Catholic at 7:15 p.m. on December 12th.
