The Eau Claire Shamrocks will head out on the road to square off against the Columbia Capitals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Eau Claire has three straight victories, Columbia has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Eau Claire scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Columbia by a score of 65-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Asa Price continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aden Price, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Eau Claire's win bumped their record up to 7-16. As for Columbia, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.
Eau Claire was able to grind out a solid victory over Columbia when the teams last played on Tuesday, winning 65-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eau Claire since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
