Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Estrella Foothills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Logan Stoner, who posted 11 points. That's the most points Stoner has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Chojnowski, who earned 14 points and seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Cactus came up short against Peoria last Friday and fell 50-43. The Cobras have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Estrella Foothills will have to contain Xavier Ledet as he made an impact in Cactus' last game. He had 22 points along with eight boards and three steals. Ledet's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Jayden Browen was another key player, putting up four points and five rebounds.
Cactus' defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Estrella Foothills, their victory bumped their record up to 10-13.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Estrella Foothills has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 29.6 boards per game. However, it's not like Cactus struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26.5 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
