The Four Corners Coyotes will head out on the road to face off against the Calvary Chapel Academy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Four Corners is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
Last Friday, Four Corners faced City of Life Christian Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Four Corners claimed a resounding 70-20 victory over City of Life Christian Academy on the road. Four Corners had a rough season last year, but they look ready to turn that poor record around this year.
Meanwhile, Calvary Chapel Academy put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Friday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 55-18 victory over Geneva. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Calvary Chapel Academy just coasted through the last quarter.
Calvary Chapel Academy can attribute much of their success to Isaiah Soliz, who threw for 233 yards and six touchdowns on only 17 passes, and Kaleb Steiger, who picked up 172 receiving yards and five touchdowns. Steiger was no stranger to the big play, connecting with a big catch that went for 60 yards. Payton Baker was in the mix too, providing Calvary Chapel Academy with two touchdowns.
Their wins bumped Four Corners to 8-1 and Calvary Chapel Academy to 6-3.
Everything went Four Corners' way against Calvary Chapel Academy when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as Four Corners made off with a 32-8 victory.
