The Pingry School Big Blue are taking a road trip to take on the Morristown-Beard Crimson at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Pingry School will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Last Saturday, everything came up roses for The Pingry School against Fieldston as the team secured a 42-13 victory. The win was all the more spectacular given the Big Blue's disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 223rd in New Jersey, while the Eagles are ranked 66th in New York).
A big part of The Pingry School's victory came down to the chemistry between Ryan Moye and his top target Ja'Mar White. Moye threw for 302 yards and six touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes while White picked up 150 receiving yards and three touchdowns. White showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 58 yards. Matthew Galusha was in the mix as well, providing The Pingry School with two touchdowns.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to The Pingry School's defense and their six sacks. Fieldston's QB won't forget Jack Rewey anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Rewey has been hot , having also posted six or more total tackles the last five times he's played.
Meanwhile, Morristown-Beard didn't have quite enough to beat Poly Prep Country Day two weeks ago and fell 29-26. The Crimson have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The Pingry School now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Morristown-Beard, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
