After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hayward, the KIPP King Lions were happy to have found some success on Friday. They strolled past Kennedy with points to spare, taking the game 77-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
KIPP King got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was David Rogers out in front who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 16 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ja'mauri Woodfolk, who scored 22 points.
Jerry Graham and Tyler Martin certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Graham scored 20 points, while Martin scored 18 points. The game was Martin's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Marvin Singleton was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
KIPP King's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Kennedy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
KIPP King and Lowell will face off at 4:00 p.m. on December 30, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Lowell is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Enochs has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
