Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bountiful). Everything went their way against the Bonneville Lakers on Friday as they made off with a 17-10 victory. With that win, the RedHawks brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Jacob Stapley made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Bountiful is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-10 otherwise. Stapley was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Krew Nelson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Mickey Willis also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
