The North Stafford Wolverines scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They really took it to Stafford for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-14 win at home. That looming 61-14 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for North Stafford yet this season.
Leading North Stafford to victory were Destinee Salgado and Daysha Salgado. Salgado scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and five steals, while Salgado dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Salgado has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Mya Neal, who scored three points along with four steals.
North Stafford's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-8. As for Stafford, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
North Stafford will head out on the road to take on the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Massaponax is on a six-game streak of home wins, the Wolverines a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Stafford, they and the Bears will face off at 6:30 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Riverbend has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
