It was a good run, but the Stewarts Creek Red Hawks unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 63-32 loss at the hands of Lebanon. Stewarts Creek found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and post seven fewer assists than your opponent.
Stewarts Creek lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Camden Ward, who scored ten points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Autumn Crick, who scored four points.
Lebanon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tiara Spencer led the charge by scoring 18 points. Ellie beth Mcdonald was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Stewarts Creek's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-9. As for Lebanon, their win bumped their record up to 21-7.
Stewarts Creek will head out on the road to challenge Cookeville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cookeville is coming into the matchup with 11 straight victories at home, so Stewarts Creek is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. Lebanon will take on Wilson Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wilson Central is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
