Despite the loss, Pinecrest Academy still got an impressive performance from Johnny Lynch, who scored 27 points along with seven rebounds. The matchup was Lynch's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Matthew Mitchell, who scored nine points along with five assists.
Pinecrest Academy's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-7. As for Cherokee Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
Pinecrest Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fideles Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
