After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ketchum, Kansas was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Fairland Owls with a sharp 13-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Kansas has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Fairland and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Kansas beat Fairland by a score of 11-2 later that day.
