The Auburn Adventist Falcons waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They managed a 68-63 win over Columbia Adventist Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Auburn Adventist's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gabe Delgadillo, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Delgadillo is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Russell, who scored 14 points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Auburn Adventist has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Columbia Adventist Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Auburn Adventist will take on Evergreen Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbia Adventist Academy, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Washington School for the Deaf at 6:30 p.m. on January 29th. Washington School for the Deaf is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
