The Reed-Custer Comets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a 48-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wilmington. Reed-Custer was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wilmington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyle Farrell, who scored ten points along with seven steals and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Rink, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Reed-Custer's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Wilmington, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Reed-Custer will take on the Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wilmington, they will head out on the road to square off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
