With a big week,
Ironwood Ridge jumped into the top 25 in the state rankings. Ironwood Ridge moved up from No. 26 in the state all the way to No. 24 thanks to a -1--1 record over the past week. Led by manager Dennis Toia, the Nighthawks are ranked No. 566 in the nation with an overall record of 22-6.
II Section I's top pitcher this week was
Ben Scherer. His stat line for the week included one win and six Ks.
Sabino's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only seven hits and four walks, both of which led the league. The Sabercats' pitchers have been charged with only 171 hits and have struck out 245 batters.
Jeremy Timpf is tops on the staff with 67 Ks.
