The Gretna Dragons were the 39-32 winner over the Omaha Westside Warriors when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Gretna took a 66-50 bruising from Omaha Westside on Friday. Gretna has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Omaha Westside's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kara Stricklin, who scored 22 points. Sanai Foster was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Gretna now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Omaha Westside, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gretna is on the road again on Saturday and play against Lincoln Northeast at 2:00 p.m. on December 9th. As for Omaha Westside, they will take on Kearney at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
