The Sterling Silver Knights were the 31-24 winner over the Haddon Heights Garnets when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Sterling took a 40-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Haddon Heights. Sterling has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Sterling lost on Tuesday, one person who can't be blamed is Mackenzie McDonald. Despite the final result, she scored eight points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Paris Logan, who scored two points along with six rebounds.
Sterling now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Haddon Heights, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.
Sterling will take on Woodbury at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Woodbury is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Haddon Heights will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on West Deptford at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
