Baseball Recap: Central Hardin Comes Up Short

Central Hardin was the 6-2 winner over Eastern when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bruins took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Monday. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Devin Hubbard made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases and two RBI. He has become a key player for Central Hardin: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 9-14 otherwise. Logan Robertson was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Central Hardin's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Eastern, they moved to 19-12 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Hardin will welcome Green County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eastern, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Christian Educational Consortium at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
