The Shepard Astros fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They had just enough and edged Evergreen Park out 23-20. For Shepard, this counts as revenge for the 41-14 defeat Evergreen Park walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2022.
Although Evergreen Park took the loss, they still got scores from David Johnson, Markell Johnson, and Jedidiah Adjayi.
Shepard's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Evergreen Park, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-3.
Shepard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Evergreen Park is also done with their season.
