Thomasville found their leader in sophomore  Quintin Brunson, who rushed for 68 yards on only eight carries, and also caught one  score.
 Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Thomasville proved: they limited Trinity to a paltry two yards per carry. Thomasville didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.1.
 Meanwhile, East Davidson ended up a good deal behind Providence Grove on Friday and lost  32-14. The Golden Eagles haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
 East Davidson's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Thomasville,  the  win  got them back to even at 4-4.
 Everything came up roses for Thomasville against East Davidson when the teams last played  back in October of 2024, as the  team secured  a  35-7 victory. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success,  or do  the Golden Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
