Tulalip Heritage is 0-3 against Sound Christian since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Tulalip Heritage Hawks will head out on the road to take on the Sound Christian Lions at 7:00 p.m. Tulalip Heritage will be strutting in after a win while Sound Christian will be coming in after a loss.
Tulalip Heritage scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 75-38 win over Concordia Christian Academy at home. Tulalip Heritage has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 22 points or more this season.
Meanwhile, Sound Christian fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Muckleshoot Tribal on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 61-54 to the Kings. Sound Christian has struggled against Muckleshoot Tribal recently, as their game on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was AJ Alexeev, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last 17 games he's played. Kona Resseau was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Tulalip Heritage's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Sound Christian, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6.
Tulalip Heritage came up short against Sound Christian in their previous meeting back in February of 2020, falling 67-59. Can Tulalip Heritage avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
