The North Miami Beach Chargers suffered their biggest defeat since December 28, 2023 on Monday. They were the victim of a tough 61-39 defeat at the hands of King's Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points North Miami Beach has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why North Miami Beach lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jonathan Joseph. Despite the final result, he scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Dixson Brumaire was another key contributor, scoring five points along with four steals.
It was another big night for Javian Jones, who scored 16 points along with six assists and five rebounds for King's Academy. Jones has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Andrew Signorelli, who scored 11 points.
North Miami Beach now has a losing record at 8-9. As for King's Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-4.
North Miami Beach will be playing at home against Doctors Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. King's Academy on the road again on Thursday and play against Palm Beach Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th.
