Hopefully Forest Hill is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pearl River Central in Mississippi (Forest Hill is ranked 113th, while Pearl River Central is ranked 241st).
Forest Hill fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Terry on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 61-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, Pearl River Central's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their ninth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 38-14 walloping at the hands of Terry. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Pearl River Central has scored all season.
Forest Hill's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-13. As for Pearl River Central, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Everything went Forest Hill's way against Pearl River Central in their previous meeting on January 5th as Forest Hill made off with a 62-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Forest Hill since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
