The biggest upset of the week belonged to Vandegrift, who took down 327th ranked Dripping Springs, 31-21. Christian Reyes ran for 148 yards in the win.
Cedar Park was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fifth in 4A Region IV District 25. Earlier in the week, the Timberwolves defeated Marble Falls 49-21.
KYLE JOHNSON put up the best numbers through the air as the Tigers lost to the Vipers. He finished with a total of 13 completions for 245 yards and two touchdowns. JOHNSON's favorite target this week was COLE ROGERS, who caught six passes for 101 yards.
Garrett Gray was the best wideout in the league this week as the Mustangs fell to Cedar Park. Gray tallied eight receptions for 105 yards. Keith Jerome helped Marble Falls' passing attack out by catching five balls for 43 yards.
Marble Falls' Mike Richardson and Gray have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Richardson has thrown for 1656 yards this season, while Gray has 44 catches for 661 yards. Caleb Woodward from Leander leads the league in rushing with 833 yards.
A big matchup in 4A Region IV District 25 this week will be when Vista Ridge takes on Dripping Springs. As it stands, the Rangers are in first, while Bob Schultz's team is in eighth.
Vandegrift moved up to 302 from 363 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Drew Sanders' team was able to make the jump by beating the Tigers 31-21.
