The Channelview Falcons will head out on the road to challenge the Pasadena Memorial Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Channelview has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1.
On Friday, things could have been worse for Channelview, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 44-28 loss to the Eagles.
Meanwhile, Pasadena Memorial strolled past the Eagles with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 57-41. Given Pasadena Memorial's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 480th, while the Eagles are ranked 1166th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Channelview dropped their record down to 2-16 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Pasadena Memorial, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-12 record this season.
Channelview took a serious blow against the Mavericks in their previous matchup back in January, falling 79-33. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Pasadena Memorial's Gwendlyn Mcgrew, who scored 29 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Now that Channelview knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
