The Leipsic Vikings won the last time they faced the Swanton Bulldogs, and things went their way on Saturday too. Leipsic came out on top against Swanton by a score of 43-36. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Leipsic.
When it comes to explaining why Swanton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Emma Crow. Despite the final result, she scored 16 points. The contest was Crow's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Gowing, who scored nine points.
Leipsic's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Swanton, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leipsic will take on Spencerville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Swanton, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Evergreen at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
