The Chandler Wolves will challenge the Valley Vista Monsoon at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Chandler's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Valley Vista has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Chandler will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Monday, then bounced right back against Skyline on Thursday. Chandler was the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over Skyline. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 14 runs or more this season.
Isabelle Ashike Osorio made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Ashike Osorio was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base.

Chandler kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Valley Vista lost 31-11 to Mesa on Thursday. Even if the Monsoon couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
Zayda Atalima stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored three runs while going 2-for-2. Addison Kennedy was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Chandler has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.2 runs over those games. Valley Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
Friday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Chandler has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .519. However, it's not like Valley Vista struggles in that department as they've averaged .549. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Chandler took their victory against Valley Vista when the teams last played back in March of 2022 by a conclusive 19-2. Does Chandler have another victory up their sleeve, or will Valley Vista turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
