The Sharpstown Apollos's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their eighth straight loss. They took a 58-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northside. Sharpstown was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Northside apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northside to victory, but perhaps none more so than keith Wilson, who scored 13 points along with four steals. Wilson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Bryce Brown was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds.
Sharpstown's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Northside, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season.
Sharpstown will be playing in front of their home fans against Madison at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Madison presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sharpstown in Texas (Madison is ranked 345th, while Sharpstown is ranked 1323rd). As for Northside, they will head out on the road to challenge Austin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Austin has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
