After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Great Oak, Murrieta Valley was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Santa Rosa Academy Rangers. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Nighthawks yet this season.

Murrieta Valley's got stronger as the match went on, holding Santa Rosa Academy to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-17.

Seth Medeiros paced Murrieta Valley's offense, picking up 16 kills. Medeiros got some help from Jedi Malaambo and his 21 assists. Medeiros was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Murrieta Valley moved to 8-11 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Santa Rosa Academy, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
