Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a 14-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. Port St. Joe has struggled against Blountstown recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Devin Cuttino threw for 103 yards on seven of 11 attempts.
Chance Gainer was his top target, picking up 74 receiving yards.
Blountstown can attribute much of their success to Amarion Hover, who rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns.
Port St. Joe's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Blountstown, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Port St. Joe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Blountstown will head out on the road to face off against Hawthorne at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hawthorne will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
