The Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles's nine-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They strolled past Banning with points to spare, taking the game 63-46. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Desert Hot Springs also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Banning's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Riley Aguilar, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Moua, who scored 13 points.
Desert Hot Springs' victory bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Banning, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Desert Hot Springs will face off against Desert Mirage at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Desert Mirage is on a three-game streak of home losses, Desert Hot Springs a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for Banning, they will head out on the road to square off against Twentynine Palms at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
