Venice had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 12-25, 25-17, 25-17, 15-12.
Melissa Apolonio paced Venice's offense, picking up 15 kills. Apolonio got some help from Amelia Anselmi and her 36 assists. Jacey McReynolds controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
