On Wednesday, South River came up short against Linganore and fell 65-53. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points South River has scored all season.
Christian Petruzzello continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Linganore, scoring 21 points along with nine rebounds. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Tommy Walsh, who scored 12 points along with five assists.
South River's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Linganore, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
South River and Meade will face off at 6:45 p.m. on January 5, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Linganore, they will be playing at home against Tuscarora at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tuscarora is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
