Eastside Early College's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ja?Lyen Jones, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds, and Jakob Acosta who scored 19 points. The match was Acosta's ninth in a row with at least ten points.
The win makes it two in a row for Hyde Park and bumps their season record up to 5-7. As for Eastside Early College, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-5.
Hyde Park's road trip will continue as they head out to face Victoria Cobra HomeSchool at 5:00 p.m. on December 14th. As for Eastside Early College, they will square off against McCallum at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. McCallum presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Eastside Early College in Texas (McCallum is ranked 403rd, while Eastside Early College is ranked 971st).
