Brighton put another one in the bag  on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with  a   2-0  victory over the Imlay City Spartans. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.
 Leading Brighton to victory were  Ruby Pennala and  Brier Skelton.  Pennala  had nine  digs and two  aces, while  Skelton  had five assists. Those  two  aces gave  Pennala a new career-high.
Brighton's win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Imlay City,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 4-2.
 Brighton and Imlay City will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next  games. The next time the Bulldogs see the court they'll take on Saline  at 7:00  p.m.  on September 4. As for Imlay City, their break will end when they face Brown City  at 5:00  p.m.  on September 3.
