Football Recap: Loyola College Prep Piles Up the Points Against Bossier

Loyola College Prep put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 56-26 victory over the Bossier Bearkats. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Flyers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Bearkats are ranked 216th).

Bryce Restovich continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 318 yards and six TDs while completing 89.5% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (168.3). Ty Walsworth was Restovich's top target, picking up 106 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Loyola College Prep didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Thomas Gosslee and Fatte Ivy. Ivy has been hot recently, having also posted six or more total tackles the last three times he's played.

Loyola College Prep's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Bossier, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Loyola College Prep will host Woodlawn-Shreveport at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. The Flyers will be up against the Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.4 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Bossier, they will be playing at home against Northwood at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
